Starting today, I'm going to pursue an old dream of mine, while I can still call myself young. For the last eight years, I told myself that creative writing shouldn't be anything more than a hobby. At college, I tried to find something else I was capable at. Math, science, even business. in the end I got a English degree, and took jobs in content writing. As a creative writer, "content writing" is a pain. Write unique pages about nearly identical prompts? Add paragraphs that don't need to be there? Make it interesting to read, but also keep using this word or phrase over and over? Get the customer's trust, but don't make promises you can't keep? It's fucking nonsense! No wonder half the Internet is gibberish. Anyway, enough of that. I'm going to be making visual novels. Yeah, I know... I know. There's almost no money in visual novels, especially not in English visual novels. It could be years before I see a decent profit, if ever. And if I screw up big time, I'll be chased off the Internet. But I still want to try, regardless. Quite a few projects I'm working on are based on the Exile Series. Despite multiple people over the years suggesting I adapt LotE into an original-fiction work, I'd always dismissed the notion as LotE relies too heavily on Pokemon for context. After extensive planning and worldbuilding, however, a original-fiction visual novel based on aRiE looks feasible. As mentioned in previous posts, this means that I will probably no longer be working on aRiE itself, as any ideas will in. In truth, it feels disingenious to continue working on Pokemon fan fiction when I haven't touched any Pokemon game more recent than ORAS. I will consider writing more LotE Bonus stories, however. There's nothing on it but here's my itch.io: Seven Tailed Fox
